For those who are not familiar with the French Riviera
area, Antibes is a small town located between Cannes and Nice. I was
born in Nice and went to college there but I grew up in Antibes.
My hometown was built during the Middle Age, there are
still ruins of its ramparts (beautiful legacies of a rich history) all
around its harbour. It is surrounded on one hand by the Mediterranean
and on the other hand by the Italian Alps. So you can both go for a
swim during summertime and go downhill skiing during wintertime in
Antibes.
Downtown Antibes is very picturesque; my favourite
places are its harbour in which I really aim at parking my yacht
sometime (I haven't figured out yet how many flavouring or/and
pharmaceutical products I should prepare and sell before I could
afford a spot by the seaside, taking into accounts that I am sometimes
a big klutz in organic labs and tend to set my bench work on fire
quite often; well you'll do the maths...).
I also enjoy pretty much hanging out in Antibes merchant main
street where all the Irish pubs are; it gives me the opportunity to
catch up with my broken English.
Karine.
